What’s Included in the Termite Barrier Coating Bundle

TERM‑seal™ Aqua Block Primer (500mL)

TERM‑seal™ Aqua Block Primer is a termite barrier coating that prepares masonry, concrete, brick and fibrous panels for coating. It improves adhesion and ensures the termite barrier coating performs at its best. Coverage: 500mL = 3 m²

How to apply the primer:

• Clean and dry the surface

• Apply by brush, roller or spray

• Allow the primer to become tacky

• Apply Aqua Block Plus or Aqua Block Sealant as directed

Only use TERM‑seal™ Aqua Block Primer with Aqua Block Plus products.

TERM‑seal™ Aqua Block Plus Coating (4L)

Aqua Block Plus is a dual‑purpose waterproofing and termite barrier coating. It forms a seamless membrane that resists moisture and blocks termite entry. The coating contains Bifenthrin, a proven termite control agent. Coverage: 1L = 1 m² per coat

This coating suits:

• Slab edges

• Construction joints

• Backfilled walls

• Masonry

• Concrete

• Fibrous panelling

• Timber below ground level

How the Termite Barrier Coating Bundle Protects Your Structure

The primer and coating work together to create a continuous membrane that blocks termite entry through cracks, joints and penetrations. The membrane also provides moisture protection, which helps maintain the structure over time. Because termites often seek hidden access points, sealing these areas before backfilling is essential for long‑term protection.

Application Instructions for the Termite Barrier Coating Bundle

Slab Edges

Clean the slab edge and remove dust and dirt. Prime the surface with Aqua Block Primer. Apply a continuous coat of Aqua Block Plus. When dry, apply a second coat to reach a minimum thickness of 1.3 mm.

Construction Joints

Clean the concrete surface 60 mm on either side of the joint. Prime the area. Apply a thick coat of Aqua Block Plus. Embed TERM-seal™ Reinforcing Band and remove air pockets. Apply a second coat, then a third coat once the surface sets.

Walls, Masonry and Concrete

Prime all surfaces. Apply Aqua Block Plus at a minimum width of 50 mm.

Backfilled Walls

Where hydrostatic pressure may occur, apply a minimum thickness of 4 mm. Protect the treated wall with corflute before backfilling. Allow at least 48 hours for curing.

Coverage and Compliance

• 500mL Primer = 3 m²

• 1L Coating = 1 m² per coat

• 4L Coating = approx. 4 m²

TERM‑seal™ Aqua Block Plus is APVMA approved (80607/101262). Follow all Directions for Use. Regular inspections under AS 3660.2 help detect termite activity early.

Note: Subterranean termites are on occasion capable of bridging termite barriers and therefore regular inspections, as detailed in Australian Standard AS 3660.2, will significantly increase the probability of detection of termite activity before any damage or costly repairs are required.
